PHOTOGRAPHY 101
Basics of Photography by hardik P Shah
Creativity is one aspect where we humans excel. And photography is a way to express our creative thoughts and imagination - a language within.
Creating visuals which would leave an everlasting impression in one's mind is what we, intellectuals, aim for and more than that, to satisfy our own soul...
Join me on a two-day basic photography workshop where we would not only learn the know-how of a camera but also start a visual journey and create something impactful works.
Learning Objectives:
The workshop will start with the history of photography and the basics of a DSLR/Mirrorless camera, it's working with live demonstrations and discussions.
Once we understand and are familiar with the basics of a camera, will move to a very important aspect of photography - 'Light'. Will learn how light plays an important role and understand different types of lighting during the live demonstration.
Portraits - We shoot portraits every day! Self-portraits, also famously known as selfies and portraits of our friends and family. How are they different from an actual portrait - is what we will learn in the two-day workshop with live demonstration.
In the end, we will learn how to process our images. Post-Processing is as important as shooting.  This is where we convert what we had pre-visualised, to reality! We will learn how to process the images using Affinity Photo.

Here's the detailed day-wise structure of the workshop.

HARDIK P SHAH
A Design Enthu | An Observer | Everything creative!

His journey of photography started as a hobby which turned out to be his passion within a short span of time. He says he had no idea that his hobby of clicking would take me here today. Photography has changed my vision of seeing things!

Working as an IT professional and being in front of a computer all the time, photography was something that was most exciting and relaxing for him. With time he has understood and believes that photography is not just about picking up a camera start hitting the shutter. It is something much beyond it. If he is asked to define photography he would say it is an art of capturing the subject in front of you in the most creative way.

He likes creating abstracts, portraits, landscapes, food shots and street scenes and shoots time-lapses and he prefers shooting in monochrome as it touches his heart and soul.

His images were displayed in:
- ‘Galleria’ in the year 2015 and 2016 which is the annual photography exhibition by the Telangana Photographic Society.
- ‘Frames 2019’ the annual Photography Exhibition by Youth Photographic Society
- ‘Best of the Best’, Photography Exhibition by Youth Photographic Society.
- 'Numaish' - photography exhibition by the Telangana Photographic Society.
- ‘Black & White Bonanza’ A black and white print exhibition by Youth Photographic Society.

A few of his images were published in the January 2018 Edition of  ‘Tushara’ Magazine, one of the leading Magazines in Karnataka.
